Root Cellar is a collective dedicated to the cultivation of quality goods and the preservation of hand craft. Based in Winnipeg, Canada, the group of us work in a variety of mediums, creating both utilitarian and sculptural objects. Often working from a common design brief; the exercise is always intended to strengthen material understanding and explore new methods and forms, critiquing and guiding each other to produce the best work possible. The end result is a collection that is not only curated but created together.

We are devoted to making objects that are beautiful and intentional. They aim to honour material, time, practice and place.
